Cheryl Cole Twitter Official:- Former Girls Aloud member and X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been slammed for presenting a BBC Sounds R&B podcast. “I have always had an incredible love and enthusiasm for R&B,” Cole said on Twitter last week while announcing the show. In a simple “lol,” DJ Ace expressed his disapproval of her.

“If you’re going to provide a platform for R&B music to a woman, and the platform is the BBC, it should be a Black woman musician,” Uhura Zulu stated on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat program.

“In the UK, there are so many Black British female artists who are continually ignored. “These women are talented, intelligent, and professionals in their areas.

“It seems like again, Black voices and Black talent is being shoved to the side and ignored,” Zulu added, citing Mica Paris and Beverly Knight as instances Once again, a white lady wins.

“Does she have the qualifications? As far as I know, she’s a pop vocalist, not an R&B one.”

Asserting that Cole was unfairly given a big platform to talk about R&B while Black musicians with more experience in the genre were disregarded, Sheryl Nwosu, chair of the Black Music Coalition, agreed with Zulu’s assessment.

As a “fashionista”, the press refers to Cheryl as an acknowledged style icon. She has been on the covers of British Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar, and from 2009 until 2018 she endorsed L’Oréal. In October 2014, her estimated net worth was £20 million. [3] [4] Cheryl was married to Ashley Cole from July 2006 until September 2010.

A decree nisi from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini was obtained in October 2016, paving the way for an uncontested divorce in six weeks and one day. With One Direction’s Liam Payne, she had a kid in March 2017 and they were together from 2016 to 2018.

Aside from professional DJs, many of our programs are presented by individuals passionate about their subject.”
